Seeing Performance Management as a service offered by IT might be easy but not satisfactory. Doing it all by ourselves in the business either. So where should Performance Management belong and how should it be structured? It all depends on the specific features of the organization. To solve this we first get a grip on the decision-making processes, both hard and soft, next we identify how its components are imbedded into the organizational DNA. Then we re-allot functions into a more adapted organizational form depending on the needs and mandates.
